Community Poetry Circle
Event Description
Join former Coventry Poet Laureate Emilie Lauren Jones and Limz Poetry for a warm, welcoming poetry circle. Whether you’re a seasoned writer, an occasional dabbler, or simply enjoy listening to words, this session invites you to share, create, and connect in a relaxed and supportive space.
Together, we’ll explore themes of belonging and love in all its forms, using poetry to build bridges and celebrate the diverse voices of our city. No experience is needed—just bring yourself and an open heart.
Limz Poetry is a talented local poet and performer whose spoken word explores personal and social themes, rooted in lived experience and community.
Emilie Lauren Jones is a Coventry-based poet and spoken word artist who served as the city’s first Poet Laureate (2021–2023). Her work celebrates the everyday, with a strong focus on place, community, and identity. Passionate about making poetry accessible, she has facilitated workshops across schools, community groups, and festivals.
